The Power of Hearing God's Voice

1 min read

God speaks. Do you hear His voice? If you know Him, not just know about Him, your eyes and ears are blessed to see and hear Him. It’s a gift. (Matthew 13:16) Many give the advice, “Just listen to God,” but they don’t tell you how to settle yourself or calm your mind to create a listening atmosphere. I call this a listmosphere. Do you know He speaks in amazing ways, many you haven’t imagined?

In moments of hurt and pain, we want the pain to go away and the pain-maker to hurt as much as we do. In mid-chaos, how do we find peace and healing? It cannot be manufactured. I tried! Learning to hear God's voice gives His perspective, helping to understand emotions and experiences from His point of view. It's about allowing Him access to the hurt places inside so His truth connects with those hurts, bringing healing. Did you read that “allowing Him” part? Yes, He asks permission for access to the heart! Before He leads us towards healing, the fertile ground for peace. For me, He waited for one thing: My Willingness.

How’s Your Heart?

When you've been wounded by yourself or others, it can feel like an invisible heavy load. You won’t know the impact until the burden is removed. By reaching out and genuinely seeking to hear God's voice, you begin to unpack those emotions. God’s presence is a source of comfort, allowing us to acknowledge our pain without judgment. Each whisper of His love reinforces the idea that we are not alone.
