Stella Learns to Let Go

An upcoming book by Donna Trent

Mission

Stella is a compassionate missionary, a compassionary, in eager pursuit of telling others of God’s desire to help discover Truth, His yearning for personal and intimate friendship, His deliberate kindness to draw us, the freedom He offers, and, yes, His liberation from the effects of hurts and lies.

Audience

Stella Learns to Let Go is for those who have been emotionally hurt, wounded, bruised, or beaten up in life by themselves and others. She helps us uncover lies, deceptions, and perceptions that we often accept too easily. Lies falsely charge, defame, blame, shame, and misrepresent God and others when contorted perceptions are dangled in front of us. The liar portrays God as one who punishes, ignores, bullies, steals, hides, and makes fun of our plight. In the process, the evil defamer twists our understanding of how we think God sees us: Pitiful, dirty rags, useless, never enough, stupid, and a reject. This can end if one is willing to go on an adventure with God. When we grow tired of being tired and realize we may be our own worst enemies, God is there to gently draw us to seek the truth. Stella accepts the best invitation ever offered, learns the truth about herself and others, and moves into a new understanding of how life can be lived in a more excellent way.

Format

The book is a short, quick read (100+ pages) with a long-lasting impact. Stella is a collection of real-life stories that lead us to discover ourselves as God sees us and to realize that God is for us, not against us.
